This weekend Mr C organised a romantic getaway for 2 plus 1 little princess. The boys were taken care of so it was just Mr C and I off with our little party crasher delight to the wonderful Mountains. I love the Mountains it is one of my favourite place’s to venture for coffee and cake, and a wander around the amzing antique and crafty shops. Mr C and I have not had a weekend away since mothers day 2 years ago when we spent the night away, so this weekend was long over due and this night will always be the most wonderful weekend ever but I wont spoil the surprise I will show you our weekend first.
We headed up into the beautiful mountains around 3pm on Saturday afternoon it was an overcast day but the green of the moutains shone and glistened with the recent rain.
We stopped at a lovely little cafe tucked into the side of the moutain under the tree canopies and had coffee and cake

Our cake arrived before the coffee and Mr C patiently waited so I could get a photo of both while he decalered he was ‘on tour with bebe rouge’
(Don’t you love that table I do and I’m inspired to have one of my own)
The cake was delicious I had the chocolate of course anyone that knows me will tell you I have a massive chocolate addiction hehe
After our coffee and cake we headed up to our B&B
The room was amazing
Beautiful blue slate floors and dark wooden furniture all gave to the feel of a french country flair.
I even loved
this piece of furniture so much
Mr C attempted to pop it in the car for me
Even possing for a photo whilst lifting
(hmm Mr C you are being very accommodating today)
Outside the views were stunning
and we were surrounded by beautiful gardens
We even had this cute little birdhouse
But back inside it was time for a romantic
well as romantic as a spa for 2 gets with
an 8 month old
thats kids for you but we did have a lovely time
it was incredibly relaxing to be away from our daily lives
The next morning we woke up and pottered around the gorgeous room and
thought we would venture into town for a coffee
Do you notice something?
Ooops did I forget to mention something?
What could it be?
After our spa Mr C had organised a copy of the first movie we ever saw together
he popped it on and made popcorn
but what was that in the popcorn
a gorgeous ring
and Mr C asked me to become Mrs C
It was incredibly romantic and thoughtful and meant so much especially as the mountains are where my mums ashes are scattered so I like to think she was there in spirit with us
and would be so happy for the 2 of us
I am over the moon with excitement and yes I did cry.
Hope you all had magical weekends too.
xx
