A little bit of Italy

I love being a mummy and I love a chance to be involved at the school with the kiddies. This week at B’s school was Italian Week and on Tuesday us parents were lucky enough to be invited to join the kiddies for the morning.

Tuesday is normally my reading with the kiddies morning but as it’s last week of term there is no reading, so tuesday morning me and B took off for school with all the excitement of little kids.

We got to make canoli with the kiddies in B’s prep class. The kids loved it! We got designated chocolate so there was a lot of sneaky little hands trying to eat it straight from the bowl before putting it in to the canoli tubes. Some of the kiddies were much better at spooning the mousse into the canoli tubes than others and some just wore it 🙂

We were also treated to an Italian concert with all the grades at B’s school singing us a song in Italian and than they even made all us parents get up and sing too. This is our 2nd concert for B now and my heart just melts when I see him up there singing doing silly little actions. I just can’t wipe the smile off my face.

The day ended with the Italian Arts Extravaganza  I thought you would all love to see the Italian art by B’s and his classmates B’s Italian flag collage

These are pizza’s from the 1/2. Don’t you love little kiddies art, they just hve no inhibitions.

This one is B’s Pizza from the prep class, I’m not sure who has broccolli on pizza but hey it’s art, anything goes.

Fashionable boots made from Italy

B’s rialto Bridge cardboard box model doesn’t it look just like the real thing:)

And the 5/6’s line drawing of the rialto bridge

And what Italian Arts Extravaganza is complete without it’s very own Leaning tower of Pisa

Ciao Bella’s

  1. Looks like you had a lovely and fun morning! The art is all really sweet, and I have to say that I’ve seen (and eaten) stranger things on pizza than broccoli, lol 😉

your lovely thoughts are much loved xx
