Screeching halt

Last night a horrible event happened

………………

……….

…..

I did not want to

crochet

knit

embroider

craft at all for that matter

It came from nowhere, all of a sudden i just did not want to pick up my hook or needles

I had even written out a pattern for a rose but just could not find the mojo to try it out.

I have never not wanted to at least hook before

It relaxes me, it soothes me. So I lay on the couch with the tv on

and you know what tv is so so boring.

I was completely lost without my craft, I had no idea what to do with myself.

I tossed and I turned I tried to pick up the hook and chain but nothing

I couldn’t even bring myself to pick up my one a day project and make a hexipuff so the total for this week is 1 and it should be 2

What was I to do. I was lost I had nothing to do, so I went to bed

Thats right at 7.30pm I went to bed,

but I did accomplish something

I read and finished one of my books for

The fall into reading challengeĀ  (you can check out my books here.)

I finished the Vampire academy book

so now it’s onto something a little more substantial I think I shall start Maestro’ – Peter Goldsworthy,

But I’m hoping to have my mojo back as I have this little teapot

which is plain and boring

and screaming for some crochet knitted prettiness hopefully I will back soon to show the cuteness

but for now it’s time to do the school drop

and I must get dressed šŸ™‚

love to all

xx

I forgot to mention this as well

You might have seen it in my side bar if not head over and add your crafty blog or check out some of the other great craft blogs

xx again.

  1. You ought to try some ceramic painting…..my oldest boy is studying Clarice Cliff at the moment in school and has been doing some lovely pictures which soon are going to be put on a plate to fire and glaze.

I’m sure your mojo will be back soon!

  2. I often have days like this. I was thinking, time to read a book, and then you did. LOL I usually get like this if I am over tired so reading is a nice way to just relax. I could never sit in front of the tv without something to do with my hands, it would drive me insane. I think also, when you are working on large projects it can get a little boring at times, so making some quick in between projects can also boost the enthusiasm as you are seeing some results along the way.

  3. Sometimes it happens. Doing something else creative, like reading, is a wonderful way to deal with it when it does.

I hope you get your mojo back soon – that little teapot does need some colour! At least you acheived something else by reading your book!!

  5. I have days like that too – it’s funny, isn’t it? Almost like you’re not yourself for a day. Still, reading is a great alternative when you have a good book, of course šŸ˜‰ Hope your mojo returns soon. Kx

  6. Just your crafty brain giving you the night off, so you can bounce back with excitement & enthusiasm!! We all have those days, weeks, months almost (not so easy when it’s your sole income) but when you get your groove back, it’s better than before!! Love Posie
PS follow my blog & enter a great crafty giveaway, you’ll love it!!

  7. I get what you are saying, how does the desire to do something you love vanish into thin air and then return like it was never away? I find that when my routine is disrupted or I’m over tired, poof, creativity flies out the window. Hang in there…Looking forward to seeing what colorful cozy you wrap your teapot in.

Oh dear! A horrible & dismal event indeed, hopefully your crafty mojo returns soon, but if not, at least you’ll get a lot of reading done!

Oh no! You’re all hooked out. You need a hooky holiday. Why not pick up a needle for a week or so (sew!!) to see if you can get your hooky mojo back!

  10. I’ve had days like that too – I usually end up wandering back and forth to my craft room and just standing there looking around. Don’t worry – your mojo will come back. šŸ™‚
