Not a lot of blogging is getting done, but my needles and hooks are working on overdrive as I hook up some presents. I love making things for other people it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to make something, that someone else will love. Well I hope they love.
But there is a problem with making presents and blogging . . . they don’t go together. I can’t show you what I’m making, I can’t show you my work’s in progress (of which there seems to be a growing list), and I can’t even tell you what they are because spoiling the surprise would be spoiling the whole process.
I mean I love making things to give, I derive so much enjoyment from it, I love that moment where you finally find what you have been looking for and you just know that’s what the person would love. I enjoy picking the colours and watching it all come together, but most of all I love the surprise. The surprise the recipient gets when they receive a beautifully wrapped pressie and under those layers is something I hope they will just love and cherish. So of course I can’t show you anything big at the moment, but I can tell you I have finished one of my pressies on the list and I am giddy with excitement. I almost can’t part with it. It’s just so beautiful I want it all to myself. And I’m dying to share it with all of you, but the sun does not want to shine here at the moment so no photos have been taken . . . yet, but fingers crossed for tomorrow and then it’s off in the post all ready for the surprise.
I shudder to mention them
Yes those hexipuffs, it is Tuesday after all but I’m sad to report nothing yep a big fat nada. I have not made any, I think I’m having a break. I will finish those little buggers but I’m taking a holiday and instead I have been making a little Nana Squares
and this is where I have been today trying to keep warm as our heater broke at some stage in the night and after spending sometime this morning trying to fix it, I have given in and called the plumber, hopefully it will be fixed soon. But for now I have my toasty warm socks a cuppa tea and some brightly coloured nana squares to keep me warm.
